With over 25 years of programming experience, my journey has been a technology-filled adventure, starting with QBasic and progressing through Pascal and Delphi, eventually transitioning to Perl and PHP for web development, and currently working with Python and Dart (Flutter).
What have I accomplished along the way? From creating a bouncing ball on a Commodore 64 using QBasic to developing my first Trojan with Delphi, my passion for programming led me to build an OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) reader using RS232. I designed my first website in 1999 using Perl and even set up my own servers, starting with FreeBSD and later working with Mandrake Linux, SUSE, and Debian-based distributions like CentOS and Ubuntu. It was in the early 2000s when I was introduced to PHP, during the transition from PHP 3 to PHP 4. I have developed close to a hundred websites, hosting them on servers I built myself. In 2005, I developed my own CMS. During this time, I founded my own company and continued working in web development.
In 2009, I encountered Upwork, known as oDesk at the time, and took on numerous freelance projects. The majority of my work revolved around web scraping and PHP programming.
Fast forward to today, I specialize in web scraping using technologies such as Python with Selenium, Browserless.io, Pipedream, Google Colab, PHP with cURL, and more. I am still actively involved in web development using PHP, with a focus on frontend technologies such as jQuery and Vue.
For the past five years, I have been extensively working with AWS, constantly keeping up with their latest offerings and innovations. Some of the services I utilize include EC2, ECS/ECR, SNS, Load Balancer, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito, EBS/EFS, RDS, Route53, S3, WAF, Textract, IOT Core, and Lambda.
